3.11 ADVANCED FEATURES IN CALC

There are various advanced features of Calc. Let us learn about some of them in detail.

3.11.1 Sorting Data

Calc spreadsheet software helps people to organise and process data by the use of columns and rows with formulas and
some cool features. Let us understand how to sort data—arrange data alphabetically or in ascending/descending order.
Ascending Order: Data is arranged from smallest to largest, or alphabetically from A to Z.
Descending Order: Data is arranged from largest to smallest, or alphabetically from Z to A.
Consider the following spreadsheet:

In order to see the student obtaining the highest total, we need to sort the data in descending order of ‘Total’. Follow
the given steps:
Step 1: Select the data to be sorted.

Step 2: Click on Data Sort on the menu bar. The Sort dialog box will open.
